Larry Chavez & Joyce Hitchner

Founders & President

Larry Chavez and Joyce Hitchner are the Founders and President of Southwest Style, Inc. As partners, they founded Dreamstyle Remodeling in 1989, which was later sold to an equity firm in 2021. Over the last 15+ years with Dreamstyle, they grew the company into one of the largest remodeling companies in the country, with more than 125,000 customers throughout the Western United States. Southwest Style, Inc., is the entity that has been chosen to expand our Hot Tub, Swim Spa, Stove and Hearth divisions.

Currently, Larry serves on Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies Remodeling Futures Program Steering Committee and is a mentor for Stanford University’s Latino Entrepreneur Leadership Program. In 2017, he was inducted into the UNM Anderson School of Management Hall of Fame.

Joyce is a driver of the company’s overall strategic planning, and is closely involved in talent evaluation, succession planning, employee recognition and motivational activities. She is extensively involved the company’s charitable work, and is responsible for planning and executing the design and construction of the company’s facilities and showrooms.
